Education is more than knowledge; it is, as Charlotte Mason describes: "an atmosphere, a discipline, a life." When it comes to homeschooling, there's a natural tendency to prioritize the academic components, but at our 2026 conference, we want to encourage you to look at your homeschool holistically. This year's theme is going to focus on how we consider the different components of education and integrate them for a thriving homeschool. We will offer sessions that will touch on how to understand and integrate the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational dynamics our homeschool. In addition to sessions led by local homeschool mothers and professional educators, we are welcoming Amanda Philips LCSW, MSW from Abiding Hope Psychotherapy to lead a valuable session. "Homeschooling is more than academics—it’s deeply relational. In this workshop, we’ll explore how attachment theory shapes your child’s ability to focus, learn, and navigate challenges. You’ll gain practical tools to regulate your own emotions, better understand your child’s behavior, and create a more calm, connected learning environment. Rooted in clinically-informed practices and a Christ-centered perspective on relationships, this session will encourage you as you nurture both the hearts and minds of your children." The conference includes: inspirational and practical sessions, a catered lunch, a give-and-take table for gently used homeschooling supplies/curriculum, fantastic giveaways, and time to fellowship with others. WHO: Current and prospective homeschooling mamas WHAT: A local homeschooling conference themed: The Holistic Homeschool WHERE: Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, PA WHEN: Saturday, August 1st from 9:00am - 3:30pm COST: $60 per person; $70 after July 18th MISSION: The Like a Mustard Seed Homeschool Conference exists to inspire, encourage, equip, and connect current and prospective homeschooling parents. NOTES: - While we will be hosting this event from a biblical worldview, one does not need to have a biblical worldview to attend. - Nursing babies are welcomed to join their mothers. - While this conference is targeted for homeschooling mamas, homeschooling dads may sign up to participate. - Conference tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred if you can no longer attend.
